Remake and Warranty Policy

At GDT Lab, we continually strive to produce the highest quality products with precision and attention to detail. Although our remake rate averages less than 2%, we understand that occasional human error may occur. The Remake and Warranty Policy is valid only while a continuing business relationship exists with GDT Lab.

Remake Requests

If a remake is requested due to a laboratory error, please return the following:

  1. The original case and model.

  2. The original lab script and case number.

  3. A detailed description of the issue and the corrections needed.

Once all information has been received and evaluated, we will issue credit to your account as appropriate. Each case will be reviewed individually to best serve your needs. Please retain the tracking number of your return in the event this is lost in transit.

Remakes Without the Original Case

For eligible remakes requested within 60 days but without the original case, GDT will remake the case at 50% of the current retail price of the restoration.
If the original model and restoration are returned within 30 days of the invoice date, GDT will evaluate the case and, if appropriate, issue 100% credit for the amount charged to the customer’s account.

Exceptions

All eligible remakes received within 60 days of the invoice date will be remade at no charge, except under the following circumstances:

  1. GDT communicated issues with the margin, impression, or scan, but the dentist or laboratory approved the case and requested completion.

  2. GDT recommended a tooth try-in, but the dentist or laboratory declined and requested a completed case.

  3. A tooth try-in was not requested by the office for a start-to-finish denture case.

  4. The teeth have been re-prepped, or treatment plan has changed.

  5. There is a shade or material change different from the original prescription.

  6. The partial denture fits the master cast.

  7. Incorrect implant information was provided on the Rx.

Warranty of Work

GDT guarantees all fixed restorations against defects in materials and workmanship for five (5) years from the date of invoice.

GDT guarantees removable appliances against breakage for two (2) years. Normal wear and tear, including discoloration, are excluded from this warranty.

We recommend that all removable appliances be cleaned daily using an approved removable dental appliance cleaner.

The following appliances and services are not covered under any warranty due to their temporary or delicate nature:

  1. Acrylic temporaries

  2. Veneers

  3. Flippers

  4. Immediate dentures

  5. Flexible partials

  6. Rush fees

*For all complete and partial dentures, including immediate dentures, no remake or warranty applies unless there is documentation that a tooth try-in was completed prior to final processing.
